Elizabeth Faye is finally here!!

I usually have my kids at least 2 weeks before my due date but this little girl decided to make me wait way to long. Last Saturday I started getting frustrated with my home cleanliness, so I began to clean and clean and clean. I finally stopped cleaning around 10:30 at night because Ryan made me sit down and watch a movie with him. We often watch movies late on Saturday nights because our kids are asleep and we don't have church until 11 the next morning. Well at 12:30 a.m. I started to get a few contractions but nothing too big but I had a feeling like I was not going to make it to church, so I showered and told Ryan that he should too. We finally ended up going to bed around 1 in the morning. An hour later I started getting contractions that would not let me sleep so I decided to just clam down and start timing them. Finally at 3 I decided that these were definitely labor contractions and we needed to get to the hospital so I wake my hubby up and tell him we need to get ready to go, to which he replies: "You sure we can't wait till morning?" . So I tell him to go back to bed and we will see how bad they get, finally 30 min. later I know we have to go. There was no way I was going to miss my epidural!! We get to the hospital and after an hour of observation the nurse decides I am in labor. (Like I didn't let her know that already!!!) I quickly tell her to get the anesthesiologist but at the time he was in an emergency c-section. So I calmly ask her to please bring him to my room right when he is done with surgery. Well apparently Saturday was c-section day and nobody told me about it. He finally comes to my room at around 9:30-10 o'clock and I'm already at a 7. I barely made it and apparently according to the anesthesiologist I have a high pain tolerance which I thought oh that's nice but give me my shot. At around 11 I tell Ryan that I feel a bit a pressure and from previous experience we know to call a nurse, well sure enough I was at a 10 and ready to go. So finally two pushes later at 11:50 my little princess was born. With a perfect round head, chubby cheeks, a head full of hair, and perfect in every way. I love this little girl so much already she sure was worth the wait.

Who are you and where is my Husband?!?!?!?!

When I married Ryan he had the classic return missionary look, which is natural since he had just gotten home from his mission. I got him to get rid of the side part but throughout the years he kept the clean shaven look. Well for the past 3 years Ryan has helped out in Cheryl's School of Dance Nutcracker, so from August until the 3rd week of December his smooth face is adorned with a beard. Now don't get me wrong I actually LOVE his beard. So last year December came and went and the beard stayed, Ryan tried repeatedly to shave it but Nathan and I always begged him to keep it, and even though he hated it he keep it for me and the little guy. Well with the upcoming birth of this baby girl I read somewhere that newborns are usually scared of men with facial hair because their eyesight is not fully developed, but it was never a proven fact just a theory. That was enough for Ryan he saw his golden opportunity and last Saturday the beard came off. It was kind of weird, I was so used to seeing the scruffy manly beard for almost a year now, and then here was this handsome smooth face. The next morning I was a bit startled by the face next to me in bed. But I think the shock has finally worn off, and I'm back to falling in love again with my clean shaven honey.
Before the big shave.
The only way Nathan let him shave was if he could help.
Focusing on the job.
Almost there. Looks like he got into a fight with a lawmower.
Ryan does the final step.
Tada!! The finished product.

Its Fru-fru Time!!!

So when I announced that I was having a little girl, Nana, Cheryl Jenkins, Megan Mendoza, and Harmony Preece, very kindly offered to have a baby shower for me. And Megan promised me it would be the fru-fruest (sp) party ever. I wasn't quite sure what they meant when they said fru-fru, not being very girly myself and having three boys didn't give me much of a hint. So Saturday the 26th came and I showed up at Cheryls house expecting lots of pink, that was the most my imagination brought to the table, and man was I blown away. I now love all things fru-fru. These ladies did an awesome job, the food was AMAZINGLY delicious and the decorations were like pictures from a magazine. So thanks ladies for the super fru-fru shower I loved it. And thanks to all who came and gave me such cute girly outfits. I think I'm going to have to remind myself that I'm having a baby and not a little doll to accessorize. :)
Here are some pictures of the incredibly cute decor:

I love the sign that's a bit hidden by the basket, it say "Eat like no one is watching".

Loved these mini cakes and wafer cookies are one of my faves. They even found oreos with pink stuffing.

I think the sign says it all.

Cute and delicious goody bags.

Here I am with the Nana. Yeah I finally found a picture where my belly is hidden!!

Here I am with the ladies, Cheryl, Megan, and Harmony. I hadn't realized how much I know resemble a beached whale until I saw these pictures.
